Diane Ronayne chairs Idaho Advocates for Community Transportation (IAct), a 501c3 nonprofit that supports transportation solutions for seniors and others who need public transportation. Its focus in 2021 will be enacting statewide local option tax legislation to provide funding for transit.

A Stanford graduate in Communications, Diane also is an active participant in the new Intergenerational Housing Work Group, bringing together senior homeowners like her with students who need affordable housing, and in the Osher Lifelong Learning Program at BSU, for which she has helped arrange classes and offered lectures in obituary writing.  Diane was founding secretary of Boise at Home, a “village concept” nonprofit to enable seniors to age-in-place that operated in Boise in 2017-2018, after retiring from her career as a journalist/writer/editor.
