The Center for School Improvement & Policy Studies (CSI&PS) was founded in 1996 by College of Education Professor William H. Parrett. In its first 25 years, the Center administered more than $80 million in funded projects to support students in Idaho and across the nation. Currently led by Lindsey Turner, Research Professor in the College of Education, the Center continues to have a mission of building partnerships to support K-12 schools, educators, and students. Our current work includes many projects to provide technical assistance to schools and community partners, to provide professional development for educators, and to increase educational opportunities and outcomes for students. The Center also provides administrative and technical support to faculty in the College of Education in obtaining and managing external funding for research and service projects to improve education.
