Student Success in the School for the Digital Future
Across industries and interests, School for the Digital Future students are making their mark. Their success stems from a curriculum that adapts to them — and prepares them to thrive in a changing world.
Embracing flexibility
Sofia Sanchez-Chapman is embracing the flexibility and depth of the online Bachelor of Arts in Digital Innovation and Design: pursuing her bachelor’s degree, earning certificates and balancing life on her family’s ranch as a teaching assistant.
“I always feel like the projects do really well at emulating how it’s actually going to be in the industry. I feel really prepared.”
Learning without limits
For student-athletes like Morgan Padour and Lopez Sanusi, the School for the Digital Future offers the flexibility to pursue a degree without putting their athletic goals on hold. Through Interdisciplinary Studies, they’ve found a customizable path that fits their demanding schedules.
“IDS just gives you such peace of mind,” Padour said. “You feel like you’re equipped to go into any one of your interests.”
Turning exploration into action
Jake Vegas turned his passion for design into a clear career path through Boise State’s Digital Innovation + Design program. With coursework that blends creativity, leadership and real-world impact, he’s gaining the tools to thrive in emerging fields.
“These courses give a major edge on the new wave of careers and how they are adapting. I feel like I’m learning skills that leverage my creativity and critical thinking, and I’m already seeing the impacts in my school, work, and personal life.”
Finding confidence through education
Vanessa Crandall was a high school math teacher and softball coach when she enrolled in the online Interdisciplinary Professional Studies program. She recently graduated as an experienced entrepreneur with applicable concentrations in business creation, community impact, innovative designs and applied leadership.
“I can apply what I learned to running the business. I thought I knew a lot about leadership until I took her classes. Now, my mind is open. I am so grateful for that opportunity.”
Leveling up with Boise State
After earning his bachelor’s degree online through Boise State’s Interdisciplinary Professional Studies program, Ibrahim Muse is already setting his sights on an MBA. With a background in entrepreneurship and a passion for strategic leadership, he’s using education as a launchpad for even greater impact.
“Thanks to this program, I could customize my learning, building a unique curriculum aligned with my entrepreneurial goals. Looking back, I only wish I’d found this program earlier in my college experience, as it was precisely what I needed to lead my educational journey.”
