Offices and Departments to Know

Admissions: Assists in visiting campus, applying, requesting information, learning about scholarships, looking at cost and value, and getting connected

Advising and Academic Support Center: Coordinate academic advising and support services for students and faculty. They are a great resource for academic coaching, workshops, study tips, and overall navigating your academic planning and success.

Career Services: Help students explore career options, make a career plan, gain experience, professionally network, and search for jobs effectively. They host career fairs and employer campus visits.

Dean of Students: Support students’ overall well-being and success on campus. They provide resources and support to help students navigate and overcome challenges to support their academic and personal success.

Educational Access Center / Disability Services: Provide academic accommodations for students who may have temporary or permanent disabilities

Financial Aid and Scholarships: Assist in applying for financial aid, finding scholarships, managing aid, budgeting, and completing forms. Important to look towards the dates and deadlines for financial aid and their handbook and policies. See Financial Aid Jargon cheat sheet.

Health Services: Provide on-campus health care including primary care, urgent care, comprehensive counseling, and wellness consultation and resources

Help Desk/Information Technology: Provide service and support for any technology needs

Housing and Residence Life: Provide on-campus housing options and opportunities to connect to campus life. They can also be a resource for off-campus housing.

Library and Librarians: Houses books, resources, technology, private study rooms, open study areas, online databases, printers, audio/video equipment, etc. Librarians are present to help you navigate general information and resources, as well as resources specific to your area of study.

Registrar: Assists with transcripts, registration and scheduling courses, transfer credit, applying for graduation, and course catalog information. It’s important to look at the academic calendar for dates and deadlines each semester.

Writing Center: Works with students on any written assignments, presentations, or research by providing feedback
