Graduate student research proposal receives recognition

Geology masters student, Andrea Wolfowicz, has been recognized by the Geological Society of America for her research proposal: “Determining Temperatures of Quartz Deformation from Amphibolite Facies to the Brittle Ductile Transition.” ¬†It was deemed one of twenty of the thousands submitted, and she will be presented an award for her proposal at the Annual Meeting of the GSA in Minneapolis in October. ¬†Andrea is starting her second year as a graduate student studying under Drs. Matt Kohn and CJ Northrup.
