Kleinman 2014 Grant Awarded to Geosciences Undergrad

Congratulations to Shelby Isom for being awarded a Kleinman Research Grant for Volcano Research!  Her proposal – Identifying Distinguishing Characteristics of Secondary PDCs – was one of only three awarded to senior undergraduates and graduate students who are conducting research in volcanology in the Cascade Range, Aleutian volcanic arc, Hawaii, Yellowstone, or Long Valley caldera. To put the award in perspective, Shelby was competing with masters and doctoral students across the country for the award.  Shelby will be working with Dr. Brittany Brand and Matthew Kohn on her project.
