    Håfa Adai! My name is Mariette Elena (she/her) and I am a senior studying Psychology and Sociology with a minor in Business. When not immersed in school responsibilities, I enjoy being outdoors, working out, shopping, or simply staying in and watching a good movie – Crazy Rich Asians and Top Gun are my two favorites! Aside from being in a couple of TRIO programs, I also serve in leadership/membership positions in various on-campus organizations.

    Hi everyone!

    My name is Mayra, I use she/her/hers pronouns and I’m a senior majoring in Social Work and minoring in Spanish Interpretation. I’ve been in TRIO since high school and enjoy the community that is created. As a future social worker, I want to work with communities and help them access health care services and immigration/citizenship assistance. I’m interested in helping students find their voice and their place on campus. I know what it’s like to commute to campus and understand balancing work and school. I enjoy watching true crime documentaries on Netflix and I love French fries!

I believe that representation and equal opportunities are essential for the success and well-being of students and it is something I strongly advocate for. I also serve as the ASBSU Vice President of Inclusive Excellence and am happy to address any questions about being involved in student government.     Hey! My name is Stan I am a sophomore pursing Business Economics major here at Boise States. I am part of TRIO peer mentor cohort, as well as the president for TRIO club. If you ever need help with housing questions I would be happy to assist, I am also an RA for Chaffee. I like to play soccer at a lot at Lincoln, so stop by if you ever want to play.

    Hi everyone! My name is Serena and I am a diagnostic radiology student here at Boise State. I am practicing to become a radiologic technologist to ultimately work in all types of medical imaging. My hobbies include hiking, camping, biking, and traveling. I also enjoy playing games on my personal computer in my free-time. My recommendation for a good place to eat is in the heart of downtown Boise, Yoi Tomo Sushi and Grill!

I hope to further my education and go to law school and start a non-profit for homeless youth in Idaho. I have been part of the TRIO Rising Scholars Program for four years and this is my second year as a peer mentor. Being in TRIO has brought me so many experiences and opportunities that have changed my life and am excited to share this all with you. In my free time I love going to coffee shops, working out, and going to football games.

This is my second year in the TRIO Rising Scholars Program and my first year as a peer mentor. I am also a part of the LBGTQIA+ community!
    My goal for the future is to make therapy more affordable and accessible to those who need it. I’m interested in ASL, art, and tattoos!
