Boise State alumnus featured on national news for ‘Education Effect’

Boise State alumnus, Donnie Hale ’01 and ’12, was featured on NBC Nightly News for his work as director of the Education Effect. Established in 2011 by Florida International University (FIU) and Miami-Dade County Public Schools, the Education Effect is a university supported community school partnership to improve educational outcomes in schools across the county.

The partnership includes embedding FIU faculty into local high schools to help increase access to university experiences for students. In one high school, the ‘Education Effect’ is credited with increasing the graduation rate by 18.5%.

Hale completed a Master of Education (MEd) in Curriculum and Instruction in 2001, and a Doctorate of Education (EdD) in Curriculum and Instruction in 2012.
