Register now for summer course in exploration, play and wonder with children – grants available!

The Department of Early and Special Education is introducing a new 3-credit special topics course for summer 2022. ED-ESP 497 Special Topics: Exploration, Play and Wonder with Young Children will provide a primer for engaging in inquiry with young children up to grade three. The course will emphasize the role observation plays in assessing children’s interests and understanding in order to intentionally design indoor and outdoor environments that support curiosity, wonder, and meaningful inquiry. The course will also explore the role of the teacher as learner, researcher, advocate and co-constructor of knowledge. The course is open to all undergraduate students.
