Dazhi Yang, professor in educational technology, recently served as a volunteer principal at Boise Modern Chinese School, overseeing operations and mentoring school officers and staff. Yang also participated in a discussion and learning session at the Idaho State Dept of Education covering Chinese language and culture programs in Idaho.

“I find it’s critical to build and maintain a supportive and unified community in the current divided and polarized world,” Yang said. “There is great need for Chinese language and culture programs in Idaho and Boise Modern Chinese School has played a critical role in meeting not only the Chinese American family students’ needs, but also other families’ needs in Chinese learning.”
