Fall 2019 Disability Awareness Expo
November 19 @ 1:30 pm - 2:45 pm MST
The campus community is invited attend this semester’s Disability Awareness Expo.
The event is hosted by students enrolled in ED-ESP 250 Exceptionality in the Schools who have created a group presentation with a focused purpose: To bring awareness of disabilities to our campus community, fellow peers, college faculty and staff, and our surrounding community members.
The ED-ESP 250 students want to bring awareness of disabilities and how they impact the access that persons with disabilities have to our world. There is often a misguided or incomplete perception of persons with disabilities in the general public. Generally, this is not a consequence of ill-will or malice, but simply of misunderstanding or lack of exposure.
ED-ESP 250 is part of the teacher education programs in the Department of Early and Special Education.
