Researchers partner with ranchers, beavers and NASA
Remote sensing to monitor beaver rewilding
School of the Environment researchers at Boise State partnered with rancher Jay Wilde at his property in Preston, ID to monitor the rewilding efforts of beaver to the land.
In tandem with Utah State University and assistance from NASA’s satellite imagery, the team worked to make the land more sustainable for beavers to become reintroduced to the area and bring more predictable water flow to the stream for Jay’s cattle.
