Hourly Research Assistant

The CAES Energy Policy Institute is hiring hourly Research Assistants for upcoming semesters, with an opportunity for renewal.

The CAES Energy Policy Institute is a nonpartisan and evidence-based research and advising center that specializes in bridging engineering and economic understanding of energy systems with applied, social and technical analysis. Among our activities, we host Power Talks, advise, convene meetings/briefings and conduct research.  Student researchers are sought to support a range of research projects, such as ones on critical infrastructure, energy hubs and jobs, energy-water systems, emerging markets, wildfires and the grid, etc.

We’re seeking undergraduate and graduate applicants with a strong interest in energy and sustainability, demonstrated ability to collect and analyze academic and/or industry information, and flexibility as a team player. Students with strengths, particularly in writing and qualitative methods, are invited to apply. We encourage applicants from all programs and disciplines to consider this opportunity, including: the School of Public Service, Engineering and Computer Science, Business and Economics, Innovation and Design, and the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, or Health.
