It’s been eight years since Doc Haskell brought the idea of esports to Boise State. Fast forward to the current day, and the Broncos are closing in on 2200 total games, an impressive feat, and are now joining the athletic department. Even more impressive? A staggering 69.1% win rate, and a total of 1514 wins. Ten of the teams Boise State fields own a winning record all time. One of them, College Football, sits at a perfect record after the first season of it’s competitive play.

It’s been seven years since the Broncos tabbed a loosing season, and that was year one with only 78 games played. On average, the Broncos play 274 games a year, and they win 189 of those. Out of all of those games, there are a few opponents who have showed up more than others on the Broncos schedule, and the names might be familiar. Colorado State is the most common Boise State opponent, facing the Broncos 50 times in eight years. Boise State’s record against the Rams is 33-17. Other familiar foes include Utah State (46 matches), Arizona State (43 matches), UNLV (42 matches), and SJSU (40 matches). There have been over 500 unique Bronco Opponents all time. Of those, the Broncos have a winning record against 448, more than the total number of NCAA Division I schools overall.

Within those 2190 games, there have been six national championship wins, 15 conference championship wins, and a host of other major victories. No other Division I esports program boasts a record as successful as the the Broncos. With Haskell at the helm, it’s unlikely the success stops any time soon.
