  • America Yorita-Carrion

    Student Organizations Coordinator

I’m a social introvert, but can be easily hyped up to try new things- even if I’m scared. I enjoy training for long distance runs, ice fishing and camping with my husband and two kids, and photobooking. I could eat sushi every day, and I add a little Tapatio onto almost everything I eat. I take pride in being the first in my family to go to college and properly cracking open yummy coconuts.

    Ask Me About:
    • Starting a new club
    • LeaderShape
    • Creating a memorable college experience
    Education & Experience:

Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, minor in Education; Whitman College, Walla Walla, WA.

    Why Student Involvement?

I’m a first-generation college grad and believe the college experience is life-changing! Choosing to get involved is phenomenally rewarding-often in unexpected ways. I cherish the opportunity to partner with students who take charge of their college experience; it’s SO exciting when they say yes to the opportunities around them.
