Volunteer for Bronco Welcome Events

Make students’ and families’ first days on campus fun and memorable.

With the fall semester quickly approaching, preparations are underway for Bronco Welcome, August 17 – 27. We’re looking for volunteers to help create a welcoming atmosphere during the first weeks of the semester.

Here are several ways you can contribute:

  • Residence Hall Move-in – Move-in will take place on August 17. Volunteers will greet students and their families, answer questions, and assist with wayfinding as they move into residence halls. This is a great opportunity to showcase what it means to be part of the Bronco community.
  • ConvocationConvocation is the official academic welcome to the university for new students starting at 10:00 a.m. on August 18 in ExtraMile Arena. Sophomores are also invited to Convocation this year. Volunteers will greet students and families and help them find their seats.
  • B on the Blue – This annual photograph of students and their families inside Albertsons Stadium will immediately follow Convocation. We are seeking volunteers to create a “spirit tunnel,” welcoming guests onto the Blue, and additional volunteers to direct guests into the formation of the Boise State “B.”
  • Information Tables – We are looking for friendly faculty and staff volunteers to answer questions from students about navigating the campus. Volunteers will be stationed at information tables around campus throughout the week.
    • USE THE LINKS ABOVE TO REGISTER BY AUGUST 14
    • Faculty and staff are encouraged to connect with their supervisors for approval before registering for a volunteer role.
    • Questions about volunteering can be directed to Erin Mahn at erinmahn@boisestate.edu.
