The Peace Corps Prep program at Boise State will prepare students in any major for international development fieldwork and potential Peace Corps service. To accomplish this, you’ll build three core competencies through interrelated coursework, hands-on experience, and professional development support.
The three competencies are:
- Training and experience in a Peace Corps work sector of your choice
- Intercultural competence (coursework from a global perspective, an intercultural experience, and/or foreign language courses or native/fluent experience)
- Professional and leadership development
Administered by the Center for Global Engagement, the Peace Corps Prep program is free and open to all currently enrolled Boise State students. Upon completing the program, students receive a Certificate of Completion from the Peace Corps headquarters, certifying them as a competitive applicant.
