Boise State University offers a merit-based scholarship program for nonresident graduate students. Scholarships are awarded to admitted nonresident degree-seeking students who meet the following criteria:
- Have a permanent residence outside the State of Idaho (both international students and US citizens are eligible)
- Have a cumulative GPA as an undergraduate of 3.30 or higher.
- Are admitted into an eligible graduate program.
For priority consideration, it is recommended that all admission materials be received by the Graduate College by February 15 for the Summer/Fall 2019 semester and October 1 for the Spring 2020 semester. GEM Scholarship award notifications will be sent to your u.boisestate email address.
The Spring 2019 Graduate Merit-Based GEM Scholarships Deadline has passed.
Qualified applicants starting in the spring are eligible to apply for the Summer 2019 or Fall 2019 Graduate GEM Scholarships.
