GradGourds Rules

Graduate students are invited to participate in a pumpkin/gourd decorating activity! This event is open to all Boise State graduate students. Students can participate locally and remotely. (Students participating remotely or those unable to pick up their pumpkin on campus on the designated date/time can participate by sourcing their own pumpkin).

Students are asked to sign up below in order to gauge the total number of pumpkins the Graduate College will supply.

Sign-ups are open from October 12 – 19, 2020. Participants will be emailed instructions for picking up their gourds to decorate. The deadline for submission is October 26, 2020 – see submission information below. Three winners will be chosen and announced on October 27, 2020 and prizes will be mailed out that week.

Decorations are subject to each participant’s interpretation of the theme and must include one element of each of the following 5 categories:

1. An object sourced in nature
2. Something that displays your scholarship or field of study
3. An element of Bronco pride
4. One feature that would be found on a face
5. Something you can eat

To enter your submission, tag the Graduate College on Twitter (@BoiseState_Grad) or Instagram (@boisestate_graduatecollege) and use #GradGourds. Students may also enter by emailing gradcollevents@boisestate.edu. Submissions can be a single photo, series of photos, or a short video clip of your entry.

Note: Emailed submissions will be posted to the Graduate College social media channels and your name may be identified in conjunction with your submission.

Deadline for submissions via email or social media is Monday, October 26, 2020. Winners announced Tuesday, October 27, 2020.
