Application Processing Time

During peak application season, we receive large numbers of applications per day, each of which is reviewed by an Admission and Degree Specialist. Please allow 5 to 10 business days after we have received your application (including application fee and transcripts) for your status to be updated.

Login to Your Graduate Application

To check the status of your application, log in to your Graduate Admission Application.

Review your Admission Status

After you have logged in, select the ‘View Application’ button located on your dashboard.


You can review your admission status at the top of the home page.


Admission Status Guide

  • (3) – Submitted —Your application has been submitted to the Graduate College. We are waiting on your official transcripts from every higher educational institution you have previously attended. To check if we have received your transcripts, please review the section below on ‘How to Check your Transcript Status’.

  • (5) – In Program Review — The Graduate College has received your application, application fee payment, and all official transcripts and we have forwarded your application to the program for further review. At this point, your application is no longer being reviewed by our office. Any questions regarding the status of your application, including a decision timeline or application material inquires, may be answered by the program for which you applied.
  • (6) – In Graduate College Review — The Program has made a recommendation and an official review must be done by the Dean of the Graduate College.
  • (7) – Decided – [Decision Type] — An admission decision has been made on your application. You will receive an email when a decision is made as well.

Transcript Status

Important Note

Transcripts are processed through our office on a daily basis. Transcript mailed in the post may take up to several weeks to arrive in our office. Electronic transcripts are received anywhere from several minutes to several days.

Please allow 3-5 business days from the date your transcript has been received in our office for any notifications to be removed from your To-Do list on

Accessing your myBoiseState Account

  1. If you have not already done so, you will need to activate your myBoiseState account.
  2. Information to setup your account is sent to you when you first submit your application in an email titled ‘Important Boise State University Graduate Application Information’.
  3. Go to and click on “Reset/Create Password”. Fill out the required information. You will need to reference your username and ID number from the email.
  4. After you’ve set your new password, return to the login screen for, enter your information and select ‘Sign In’.

Visit your Student Center and Review your Outstanding Tasks

  1. Once you have activated your myBoiseState Account, visit your Student Center located under the services menu.
  1. In your Student Center, select ‘Tasks’.
  1. You will see any outstanding transcript requests under you To-Do list items.An Official Transcript means we require your degree to be sent as is (whether you are still taking classes, waiting for a degree to post, or finished).
    An Official College Transcripts with Degree means that we will require you to send us your transcripts again after you have been awarded your degree.
  2. Clicking on each item will let you know which university you are missing transcripts from.
