Summer Study abroad opportunity UK Comparative Health Systems Trip with Dr. Helen Brown at the U of I–June 6-14, 2020
Dr. Helen Brown is one person short for the Comparative Health Systems course in London June 6-14th- https://helenbstudyabroad.weebly.com. The trip is open to students and professional alike-please share in your networks. The trip operator will work with her if she has 9 but she would need to delete an activity. She would really like to get to 10 and she can take up to 15 students.
Non-UI students just need to fill out a form. The International Office requires the trip be credit-bearing (1)- I can ask if there is a professional exception. The on-line course offers good preparation and distillation of what was learned upon returning.
Her greatest hope for this trip is that people come home with a new awareness- She finds there is so much innovation in the UK, and especially London, to address health inequities and creatively and inclusively improve population health. As you can detect, she is passionate about this. She knows we grow when we see the effective work of others.
