Pre-Health Team

The Pre-Health team is committed to help students gain the necessary academic support and invaluable opportunities inside and beyond the classroom to help students succeed during and after their time at Boise State. Our student services range from assistance with employment, application to graduate school, or professional school in areas of Health Studies, Public Health, and the Pre-Health Professions Pathways and opportunities to build your network and help strength your pre-health peer community. Examples of these opportunities are:

  • Academic Advising
  • Cohort Groups (Freshman, Upper Classmen, Application Preparation, and Health Studies/Public Health)
  • Graduate/Professional School Workshops
  • Career Advising and Support from Career Services
  • Application Preparation
  • Services and Support for Degree obtainment
  • Experiences Beyond the Classroom to enhance your knowledge of the above field and yourself
  • Student Clubs and organizations in the Pre-Professional Health Pathway Communities

Cohort Meetings

Each cohort meets once a month to discuss important topics and share experiences while building their peers’ and advisors’ community. We cover topics ranging from how to locate schools to securing letters of recommendation. Join our group and get to know pre-health advisors and peers.

Occupational Skills Workshops

Being a student is a full-time job on top of an already demanding schedule, I know I did it! My name is Taylor Willis and I am currently working on my doctorate towards occupation therapy and I am a Boise State alum. Come join me for this awesome workshop series which provides you with an opportunity to work alongside me and your peers to assess your current occupational performance and reflect on your strategies to manage the challenges of student life.

Come join us for virtual drop in advising!  Our advisors can answer any of your questions or concerns during these times.  If you require further assistance we can set up an advising appointment with one of our advisors during this time.
