The National Environmental Health Science and Protection Council (EHAC) is responsible for the development and application of accreditation guidelines for institutions of higher education that wish to ensure premium quality education and training of environmental health science and protection practitioners. Since 1990, the College of Health Sciences’ Environmental and Occupational Health (EOH) Program has been fully accredited by EHAC with re-accreditation cycles occurring every six years. In June 2011, the EOH program again received full accreditation from EHAC. During the re-accreditation review meeting, held in Columbus, Ohio, the council sited no conditions for re-accreditation, validating the quality of the program and the support it continues to receive from COHS.
