Susan Esp, assistant professor in the Department of Community and Environmental Health, and Michelle Sundquist, adjunct faculty for the Department of Community and Environmental Health, presented “No Wrong Door: Working with Substance Use Disorders in Your Counseling Practice” on Jan. 25 at the Idaho Counseling Association Annual Conference in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. This workshop covered screening and assessment for substance use disorders in clinical settings as well as data from Esp’s survey with Idaho licensed professional counselors and licensed clinical professional counselors’ perceived ability to screen, assess and treat substance use disorders.
