Kinesiology Offers Free Physical Function Exercise Class

If you are 55 years of age or older or have functional limitations* and want to improve your physical function and reduce fall risk, the School of Allied Health Sciences Department of Kinesiology has a free exercise class for you.

This nine-week two days per week class will include strength, physical function and balance exercises.  At the end of the class, each person will receive a home exercise program tailored to his or her needs. The class will be led by kinesiology majors enrolled in the Physical Activity and Aging course.

The class will meet from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, from Feb. 26-April 30 in Boise State University Bronco Gym room 215. Space is limited to 30 people. The deadline to sign up is noon Feb. 26.

*Functional limitations are experiencing difficulty with normal activities of daily living, such as walking, balance, limited strength, etc.
