Apply for Apartments

You’re Almost Home.

We’re so glad you’re ready to apply for housing at the University Apartments!

The University Village and Heights Apartments are designated for students with families, couples, and graduate students. Units are popular and the turnover rate is low, which means that limited space is available.

Apartments are leased long-term, rather than per semester, for the entire unit. We do not offer split rent or accommodate roommates in the on-campus apartments. Shared housing for graduate students is available at our Sophomore and Above properties.

Please carefully review the eligibility requirements and application process outlined below.

Eligibility

Students must meet all listed requirements, according to their academic status as a Graduate Student or Undergraduate Student.

Graduate Student:

  • Be enrolled in a minimum of 9 credits.
  • Maintain good academic and disciplinary standing with the university.
  • Graduate students may elect to include dependents in their household. Dependents are defined as immediate family members, such as a spouse, domestic partner, child, parent, or sibling.

Undergraduate Student:

  • Be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits.
  • Maintain good academic and disciplinary standing with the university.
  • Required to have dependents (defined above).

Application Process

Once a unit becomes available at the Heights or Village Apartments, we’ll list it in the table below.

Prior to reaching out, please ensure you meet the eligibility requirements above and review the FAQ page, which contains rent rates and general information. Due to limited unit inventory, we cannot guarantee students with placement in the apartments.

When you see an apartment listed in the table, please send an email to our office at apartments@boisestate.edu to request the available unit. In the subject line of your email, write “Available Apartment Request” and include the following information in the body of your email:

  • Your full name
  • Your Boise State student ID number
  • Are you a graduate student or undergraduate student?
  • Do you have dependents that will be living with you?

Our office will reply to your request within one business day. At that time, you will either receive an official offer for the available unit, or we will let you know the unit has been offered to someone else.

If you receive an offer for an apartment, you will have 24 hours to accept. Should you accept the offered unit, you will have 3 days to complete and submit the Apartment Application, and pay the $75 application fee. A $250 security deposit will be charged to your student account and is due with the first month’s rent.

Please note: Units are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and waiting lists are not available. We do not hold units after an offer has been made, so it is recommended that students request the available apartment no more than two (2) weeks prior to their anticipated move-in date.
