Purpose

Primary position responsible for procuring digital course materials and access codes for resale within the Bronco Shop for the University.  This person will work directly with vendors, faculty, administrative assistants, and other support staff to select, acquire, and sell digital materials in a specified time frame each semester.

Fully competent and productive professional contributor who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity.  Works independently with general supervision; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and/or support employees.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years experience or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Work with multiple partners both inside and outside the University to meet deadlines.
  • Understand and utilize spreadsheets.
  • Analyze large amounts of data within spreadsheets and extract key information.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively across a broad spectrum of employees at various levels within the University hierarchy.
  • Work for large amounts of time without direct supervision.
  • Problem solve and make decisions, often with urgent deadlines.
  • Perform detailed work under pressure.
  • Summarize and present large amounts of information to groups of people.

Essential Functions

Key Responsibilities

60% of Time the Digital Materials Coordinator must:

  • Seek out new courses for digital material usage and work with faculty to select and set up appropriate digital materials.
  • Communicate with academic departments in multiple forms of communication to increase awareness of the program, including timelines, benefits, and expectations.
  • Work with Finance Office to resolve billing and student account charges.\
  • Work with third party vendors to ensure seamless adoption and implementation of existing and new digital materials
  • Market digital course materials internally to the University and increase awareness of how they work and the benefits to both students and faculty.

35% of Time the Digital Materials Coordinator

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Some positions may involve frequent bending, moving, lifting, and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds; some positions may involve moving, lifting, and carrying material weighing up to 70 pounds; standing up to eight hours each day; working in all weather conditions; exposure to high noise levels and require wearing hearing protection.
