Recruitment Strategy

Work with a Talent Acquisition Specialist to build a recruiting strategy:

  • Select search committee.
  • You may request an equity advocate to participate in your search. Equity advocates are trained colleagues who support effective search practices at each step in the search process. To request an equity advocate, complete the Equity Advocate Interest Form.
  • Discuss advertising needs.
  • Open/close dates for posting.
  • Identify training needs (PageUp and/or Search Committee).

Special Instructions

Classified

Classified job postings must include at least a minimum hourly rate or pay, or hourly pay range. Classified job postings must also list a closing date. Resumes and cover letters may be requested in the application materials section of your job announcement, but are not required for Classified applicants in PageUp.

Screening questions determined by the state are added to the job posting by your Talent Acquisition Specialist. These questions cannot be altered.

Temporary Employee

For Benefit Eligible temporary positions, if a PCN does not currently exist please submit a comp/class form to create one. Once a PCN has been provided proceed to create a requisition in PageUp.

For Non-Benefit Eligible temporary positions, if you do not have an existing pool of applicants this position can be posted through our career website. Hires for non- benefit eligible, temporary roles are hired through an Employee Action Form (EAF).

Student Employee

If you will be hiring a Work Study Student, please ensure the student has been awarded work study funds and that your department has a work study allocation. For more information, please visit the Work Study Resource Site.
