NEW DEADLINE! Parents Can Apply for Strong Family, Strong Student Funds

Act fast! Due to an overwhelming amount of applications the State Board of Education moved up the deadline for the Strong Families, Strong Students grant.

If you are an Idaho parent of school-age children, you can apply for federal coronavirus relief funds to assist with your child’s learning. Eligible families can receive up to $1,500 per student, up to $3,500 per family maximum through the Strong Families, Strong Students website. 

The State advises that funds can be used to purchase computer hardware, software, devices for adaptive learning, internet, instructional materials, and more through their online marketplace. 

You will want to apply quickly, the NEW deadline to apply is Friday, Nov. 5, 2020, at 5 p.m.

The board will be suspending new submissions of applications until after initial awards are issued. Awards will be issued based on economic need and then on a first-come, first-served basis.
