Educational Technology MS MET

  1. Leadership and Collaboration. The teacher seeks appropriate leadership roles and opportunities to take responsibility for student learning, to collaborate with learners, families, colleagues, other school professionals, and community members to ensure learner growth, and to advance the profession.
  2. Pedagogy and Theory: Demonstrate the ability to integrate pedagogical approaches and educational technologies in practical classroom teaching and training as well as the ability to reflect on the effective application of technology-supported pedagogical approaches.
  3. Evaluation and Assessment: Use technology to facilitate appropriate assessment and evaluation strategies and determine the effectiveness of technology in curriculum or instruction.
  4. Ethics: Apply professional and ethical standards (e.g., accessibility, diversity, copyright) to all aspects of teaching and learning.
  5. Leadership: Demonstrate educational technology leadership in school and community through research and innovations in emerging teaching and learning environments (e.g., online, blended, mobile, game-based, competency-based).

Educational Technology EdS

  1. Locate and synthesize literature in educational technology
  2. Collaborate with others in educational technology area (experts, peers, stakeholders, etc.) to design and implement a project.
  3. Use knowledge and skills gained about educational technology of enhance practice and/or influence policy using accepted professional guidelines and procedures.
  4. Engage in critical analysis of theory as it applies to leadership in the context of educational technology.
  5. Articulate research methods used in the field of education and use selected methods to answer, or potentially answer, questions about educational technology interventions.
  6. Describe the challenges and opportunities that arise at the intersection of ethical issues (ex., social justice, equity, diversity, accessibility, etc.) and the field of educational technology.

Educational Technology EdD

  1. Locate and synthesize literature in educational technology.
  2. Collaborate with others in educational technology area (experts, peers, stakeholders, etc.) to design and implement a project.
  3. Apply research methodologies to answer questions and enhance practice in educational technology using accepted professional and institutional guidelines and procedures.
  4. Leverage expertise gained in a specific area of educational technology for professional practice.
  5. Engage in critical analysis of theory as it applies to leadership and culture in the context of educational technology.
