Institute for Microelectronics Education and Research (MER)

The Institute is a nexus of the microelectronics efforts at Boise State and develops opportunities for educational initiatives, workforce development, and avenues of research. It provides opportunities for collaboration across campus and forges partnerships with government agencies, private industry, and other universities. It coordinates and collaborates with higher education institutions in Idaho, the northwest, and beyond.

Boise State will become the premier university in our region, and internationally recognized, for fostering a pro-business environment for high tech industries.

Mission

Through an expansion of workforce development and use-inspired research, the Institute for Microelectronics Education and Research will help tech industries solve modern challenges and lead innovation in microelectronics.
