Leslie Timmons teaches flute and elementary music in the Music Department at Utah State University in Logan, UT. She performs with a woodwind quintet and flute/clarinet duo that have commissioned works that are interactive with young audiences. She has worked as an Artist-in-Education for the Utah Arts Council, Orff Specialist with the Cache Children’s Choir, and as program director of a state-funded elementary arts program. Leslie has served on the board of the American Recorder Society and as President of the Utah Chapter and region representative on the National Board of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association. She directs a summer Orff course in Logan that has run continuously since it was started by Grace C. Nash in the mid-80’s. She is a clinician for AOSA teacher education courses, and has presented at national and state conferences across the USA and in the Netherlands, Haiti and El Salvador.
