An article by Jacqueline Lee has been selected as one of the Editor’s Picks for Domestic Violence Awareness Month by the Journal of Family Violence.
Lee’s article, “Civil Legal Aid and Domestic Violence: a Review of the Literature and Promising Directions,” was co-authored with Bethany L. Backes of the University of Texas.
Lee’s article summarizes research on civil legal aid, which includes provision of legal services for indigent and low-income individuals, and its applications for domestic and intimate partner violence. It also includes suggestions for improving service delivery and research in the field.
