Kendall House organized a panel at the annual meeting of the American Anthropological Association on “Teaching Professional and Design Anthropology.” The panel brought together professional ethnographers with academic faculty, and designers with ethnographic researchers. It focused on past trajectories and future needs to prepare students to practice ethnography beyond academia, the relationship between academic teaching and professional development, and the need for an ecosystem of academic and professionals to support students in their transition to work.
