Jen Schneider authored a report for the City of Boise’s Community Conversations on Growth. Her report was based on in-person workshops which looked at housing affordability throughout the city. Schneider presented her findings to the Boise City Council on Jan. 23.
Schneider’s work on the subject was referenced in the Curbed.com article, “As Boise booms, a city faces the curse of ‘Californication’ on Boise’s growth.”
In addition, Schneider recently was awarded a National Science Foundation grant in support of a research project studying efforts to democratize expertise in federal agency decision-making. The research investigates whether and how participatory technology assessments have changed expert cultures at NASA, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and Department of Energy.
In addition, Schneider recently was named an Idaho Business Review Woman of the Year.
