Boise State’s Gender Equity Center has partnered with the College of Western Idaho (CWI) to offer trainings for faculty and staff titled “Introduction to LGBTQIA+ Identities” held at both the Boise State and College of Western Idaho campuses.

In these workshops, participants learn about personal experiences of people who are LGBTQIA+, define identity terms related to the LGBTQIA+ community, discuss identity and engage in an empathy building exercise.

The center has committed to hosting five of these trainings for faculty and staff at CWI, including one training with the college president’s cabinet and three others that were open to all faculty and staff. One more training will be completed this spring on the campus.

Boise State faculty and staff can request trainings at any time. To view and request this and other offered workshops, visit the Gender Equity Center webpage and click on “Our Programs” on the left hand column, then “Menu of Programs.”
