Traffic and Parking Impacts for Garth Brooks Concerts

Garth Brooks returns to Boise for the first time in more than 20 years with two concerts at Albertsons Stadium on Friday, July 19 and Saturday, July 20. The campus community should plan accordingly for parking, traffic and transit impacts, with closures beginning at midnight on Friday, July 19.

Due to Albertsons Stadium parking reservations, a number of parking lots will have restrictions in place through July 20. Please see the table below for specific details on these restrictions and alternate parking locations. Permit holders affected by the closures may park in alternate lots beginning at 6 a.m. on July 19.

For assistance in locating an open parking space on the day of the concert, please call the parking and transportation hotline at (208) 426-7275.

Concert-goers will begin to access campus parking lots on Friday afternoon via pre-sold permits and space-available parking. Traffic congestion and very limited on-campus parking is to be expected after 12 p.m.

The concerts begin at 7 p.m. each night and attendees are expected to arrive up to seven hours before the events start. Campus community members are encouraged to plan their commute and work schedules accordingly to mitigate the impact these events will have.
