New initiative will fund $5,000 for teaching improvements that enhance student success

Boise State’s Center for Teaching and Learning is pleased to launch a new initiative to support faculty work around teaching and learning. The center invites departments, or a group of faculty within or across departments, to apply for Investments Needed for Undergraduate Success and Equity. This initiative is geared towards supporting teaching improvements that will enhance student success and equitable student outcomes, as well as the teaching culture.

The center will fund up to nine projects during 2019-20. Each project will be eligible for up to $5,000 in funding.

Proposed projects should focus on one of the following areas:

  • Exploration and adoption of evidence-based instructional practices into a course or across a curriculum.
  • Investigation and utilization of meaningful assessment of student learning and/or student outcomes to facilitate continuous improvement of teaching and learning in a course or across a curriculum
  • Identification and implementation of evidence-based instructional practices or course design strategies known to increase equity and inclusion in a course or across a curriculum

Proposals are due by Friday, Nov. 15.
