Boise State employees add ‘coaching’ to their student success toolkit

A group of 15 colleagues from Boise State’s Educational Access Center, Housing and Residence Life, Advising and Academic Support Center, and disability services offices at Idaho State University and Lewis Clark State College recently added “coaching” to their student success skill set.

October 3-4, the group participated in a two-day Student Success Coaching Skills for Educational Professionals workshop presented by master certified coach Jodi Sleeper-Triplett of JST Coaching. Participants learned strategies to guide students in making strong decisions, building accountability for their educational success and becoming self-advocates.

The professional development opportunity was organized by the Educational Access Center with additional sponsorship provided by the Office of the Dean of Students.
