Faculty learning community now seeking applications

The Center for Teaching and Learning invites faculty to apply to participate in the Designing for Student Success Faculty Learning Community for spring-fall 2020. All faculty are eligible; applications can be found here and are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6.

Participants in the faculty learning community will explore how course design, timely communication, and early intervention can help students develop a sense of belonging and can contribute to both student success and student retention. During seven cohort-based meetings in spring 2020, the community will explore strategies that can be incorporated into fall 2020 courses.

“This FLC increased my awareness on issues of equity in the classroom and has changed the way that I think of teaching and my role as an educator,” said one past faculty participant.

Each participant in the faculty learning community will receive a stipend of $600.
