Are you a new or existing supervisor looking to build upon your existing skills? Human Resource Services is proud to offer Employment Essentials, a certificate program for employees who supervise others.
Employment Essentials is an 11-week series that offers in-depth learning for new supervisors and seasoned leaders. The program will help participants expand their knowledge and abilities related to core human resources and employment competencies. Topics include hiring best practices, employee leave (ADA, FMLA), compensation and classification administration, performance management, employment law basics and more.
Employment Essentials provides supervisors with the training, resources and essential information they need to excel in their positions, and to adhere to employment compliance standards and best practices. Participants will have opportunities to learn collaboratively with peers from across campus.
Employees will receive a certificate upon completion of the series to document their achievement. Participants can complete certificate requirements by attending in-person courses. All in-person sessions are two hours in length and are scheduled from 9-11 a.m.
