Office of Information Technology provides resources for working remotely

The Office of Information Technology provides services and resources for faculty and staff who choose to work from home or other remote locations:

  • Boise State virtual private networking (VPN) helps protect employee data by ensuring secure network connectivity over public Wi-Fi networks, and allows access to network shares and remote desktop.
  • Microsoft Office and several mathematical and statistical programs are provided at no charge for installation on personal computers.
  • Zoom, Google Hangouts Meet, Panopto and other web-based services are available for employees to set up and/or participate in audio or video meetings, screencasts, or record and share video.
