Rediscovered Books in Boise is helping celebrate the April 7 release of “The Roxy Letters,” the new Simon and Schuster comic novel by Mary Pauline Lowry, a graduate of Boise State’s writing program.

The shop will host a live Facebook event with Lowry at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 9 here: https://www.facebook.com/rediscoveredbooks/

Lowry’s novel, one of Simon and Schuster’s top spring releases for 2020, is about Roxy, a young woman in Austin, Texas, contending with a rapidly gentrifying city and challenges with a freeloading ex-boyfriend. Roxy decides to take matters into her own hands to rescue both her life and her city.

The publisher had planned a 16-city book tour for Lowry, derailed by the COVID-19 outbreak.
