Cathie Olschanowsky believes everyone should know a little bit about computer science. As an assistant professor in the field, Olschanowsky’s knowledge and research involving supercomputers received national recognition with a prestigious National Science Foundation CAREER Award. Her passion goes beyond just the classroom as she provides educational opportunities for at-risk teens and local and regional high schools.

In the latest episode of Beyond The Blue, Olschanowsky explains her groundbreaking research, how she hopes it will impact the world, and why computer science might not be exactly what we think it is.
