Boise State Mobile update adds push notifications, class rosters, dark mode and more

The Office of Information Technology has updated Boise State Mobile to version 3.1 with an assist from students in associate professor Brian Wiley’s senior graphic design course.

The new “home” tab is where prospective students can search for courses, majors or take a virtual housing tour. Current students, faculty and staff can sign in to the app to access class information, academics and university systems (including email and Blackboard).

A customizable myBoiseState services menu now is replicated in Boise State Mobile.

Faculty can view class rosters in Boise State Mobile in addition to sending push notifications to students.

The “feed” tab includes personalized notifications, including administrative deadlines, registration appointments and waitlist enrollment.

The new “media” tab features university videos, in addition to streaming Boise Public Radio and The Pulse. The revamped “news” section includes feeds for campus news and The Arbiter.

Also, “dark mode” now is enabled per individuals’ iOS or Android preferences.

Even more enhancements and features are coming soon to Boise State Mobile. Download the app for iOS from the App Store or for Android from the Google Play Store.
