Donor support tops $437,000 for Boise State’s Giving Day

More than 880 donors from 39 states pledged more than $437,000 and counting Sept. 10-11 during Boise State University’s third-annual Bronco Giving Day. A total of 1,414 gifts were made from donors from the U.S. as well as the United Kingdom and Germany.

Several donors provided matches and challenge funds, helping create a stronger impact from donors whose gifts were often matched.

The Blue Thunder Marching Band’s initiative to raise funds for specialty supplies required for use during the COVID pandemic and other expenses drew wide support with gifts totaling more than $37,000.

The College of Engineering’s Student Support Fund for COVID-related tech equipment, the College of Business and Economics initiatives and Alumni Association’s scholarships also received strong support.

In addition, Boise State Athletics finished the giving day with gifts totaling $256,680, which included a $200,000 gift toward a football enhancement fund.

Over the past three years, more than $1 million has been gifted to Boise State on giving day from Broncos around the world.
