Monica Hubbard, an assistant professor in the School of Public Service, and Pei-Lin Yu, an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Anthropology, joined Kelly Martin, retired Chief of Fire and Aviation for Yosemite National Park, for a special panel for the eighth annual Andrus Center for Public Policy Women and Leadership Conference.

The discussion, titled “The Long View on Gender Parity: What are Your Ideas?” focused on experiences, challenges and successes of women working in field-going government positions of expertise.

Panelists and audience members shared case studies, exchanged ideas and proposed actions that people, agencies and the private sector can take to build gender parity in the long view. The panel was attended by more than 600 participants.
