Tomas Baiza, the director of Advising and Academic Support Center and a current Boise State creative writing program student, recently was nominated by Peatsmoke Journal for the 2021 Pushcart Prize in Literature for his short story “Adelante.”
The Pushcart Prize: ‘Best of the Small Presses’ series has been published every year since 1976, and according to the organization’s website was named among the most influential projects in the history of American publishing by Publishers Weekly. Since 1976, hundreds of presses and thousands of writers of short stories, poetry and essays have been represented in their annual collections.
