Engineering presents virtual Capstone Design Showcase

The College of Engineering invites the campus community to join the Department of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering and the Engineering Plus program as the students share their culminating projects at the virtual Capstone Design Showcase from 3-4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020. Many of the projects are sponsored by industry to solve real-world challenges.

Projects include work ranging from heating and cooling a huge ice skating complex to developing a drink lid that seals if the liquid is too hot. Prosthetics to robots, education to manufacturing, and even surviving a pandemic – join the virtual event and see impressive and intriguing, creative solutions devised by the students.

This semester, the showcase will be a virtual event, hosted on Zoom. Two presentation sessions will allow the student teams to share their projects, their development journey and the lessons they learned along the way. Attendees have the chance to review students’ work before the event and choose which live sessions they wish to attend from the event webpage.
