G Suite is now Google Workspace

Google recently rebranded G Suite (formerly “Google Apps”) as Google Workspace.

According to Google, “Whether you’re returning to the office, working from home, on the frontlines with your mobile device, or connecting with customers, Google Workspace is the best way to create, communicate and collaborate.”

Other than some updated application icons, nothing else has changed. Google Workspace still provides access the same Google applications, including:

  • Gmail
  • Google Calendar
  • Google Drive
  • Google Sites
  • Google Docs
  • Google Sheets
  • Google Meet
  • Google Chat
  • YouTube

The Office of Information Technology offers small group and department training on using productivity applications within Google Workspace, along links to Google’s self-paced learning resources. Visit the OIT Training Website for more information.
